“ I'm so glad we decided to stop here for lunch. It is on the water, and sitting on the patio is so serene! It wasn't too busy at all. There is plenty of space. There's a parking lot that I can imagine gets pretty crowded when they are busy. Also, everyone was pleasant, and the service was good. The jalapeño hush puppies with the honey butter were so good. It was perfectly cooked and just the right amount of sweetness and spice. They are also a great size. The honey butter was perfect with the hush puppies. I ordered the camp basket, with extra shrimp instead of oysters. The shrimp were phenomenal. Perfectly breaded and delicious flavor. The flounder was fried well. It wasn't overly seasoned, so the flavor was a bit flatlined, but nothing Texas Pete and a little vinegar couldn't solve. It was still really good. The fries and coleslaw were delicious as well. I enjoyed my whole meal and would return if I'm in the area again. Hopefully, to try one of their desserts or cocktails. ”

“ We went with a party of 8 for my dad's birthday brunch. They were very accommodating of our large group. As someone who isn't a big seafood fan, I appreciated that the restaurant didn't have a fishy smell. They also had a decent amount of non-seafood options on the menu. The location is also on a lovely spot on the water, and they have yard games all well. We will be going back! ”

Everything we ordered was amazing...fried green tomatoes... calamari with fried pickles, yes...seafood risotto...shrimp n polenta (maybe a little less sauce would be better)...scallops ”

“ Now that we are back on the coast full time (and my yelp account is working again), Fish Camp has been a place Kat & I keep finding ourselves, mainly at lunch time. Situated in beautiful Port Royal, Fish Camp offers that "on the water" experience that appeals to both tourists and locals. The tourists seem more like people visiting locals, so don't think this place is overcrowded in that sense. The ambience is amazing, with an outdoor bar and patio dining room that overlook the water, which also has boat docks if you want to approach from the water. For those who prefer the AC, there's an indoor bar and dining room as well. The menu is seafood mostly and has a lot of variety and you'll leave happy. Seriously, in the dozen times we've been in the past 4 months, I haven't had a bad meal. So if you're new to the area, visiting or passing through, I highly recommend Fish Camp for lunch, dinner, drinks or a nice sunset. ”

“ We were seated promptly inside the cool dining area. The jalapeno hush puppies were delicious and came out hot and quickly. The seafood was fresh and tasty. Loved the delicate flavor of flounder. The coleslaw with cabbage and broccoli was excellent. The service was excellent too. We enjoyed everything very much. ”

“ We made a reservation for Easter brunch. I give the four stars because although we had a reservation, we still had to wait for our table which was odd. However, once being seated the experience was fabulous! Our server was super friendly and made sure that we were taken care of right away. We started with the jalapeño hushpuppies that came with honey butter and they were amazing! Next, we ordered our entrees for brunch. I ordered the catch of the day sandwich which was mahi (blackened) with fries. The rest ordered the special of the day (tomato pie with side salad), shrimp and polenta, and the local shrimp burger. We were all pleased with our orders! The inside of the restaurant is bright and has a great view. Also, it was hilarious the Easter bunny even made a visit to the restaurant during brunch! ”

“ We were in SC/GA for a weekend and we're headed back from Bluffton to Beaufort and thought we would stop in at the Port Royal Fishcamp for a late lunch. This place must stay busy! We came on a Sunday at 2:30 and parking was scarce. The bar was full and inside seating was probably 80% of capacity. We sat on the screened-in porch to watch the tide come in while we ate. The location is beautiful. The porch overlooks Battery Creek. It is a perfect spot to watch the sunset or enjoy the boats going by on a weekend afternoon. We had lobster bisque (amazing), the shrimp burger, and the crab cake and polenta. The bisque was the best of the three. All three items were good and lined up with the price/flavor ratio that I would expect. Service was prompt and friendly. We were out with cocktails and a glass of wine for under $130. I recommend it for the venue primarily. The food was good, but not the big reason to go. ”
